We’re a bitchin’ group of guys from Ohio who love long walks on the beach and Nicolas Cage. With nearly 50 episodes and 5000 downloads, we’ve been your lifeline to the Cinematic Cageverse since 2018. Steve, Shawn and myself (Cagefighter Reece) attempt to review EVERY Nic Cage film in existence and BATTLE over which movies are awarded eternal rest in our Bee Cage of Fame. Our winners so far are Birdy (1984), Vampire’s Kiss (1988), and Con Air (1997). While we poke some fun at Cage’s CRAZIER roles and real-life antics, we also give due credit to our favorite Oscar-winning actor who has now appeared in over 100 films -- plus you’ll hear our own personal stories and misadventures. Find us at NicCageFight.com or email us at latenightcagefight@gmail.com.

We FINALLY watched Uncle Francis Coppola's 2019 RECUT of The Cotton Club! The OG film was first discussed in Season 1 Episode 4 of Late Night Cage Fight. However, Cagefighter Steve famously refused to watch it. That all changed tonight, friends. How does the new cut compare? More tap-dancing, mobster shoot-outs... MORE JAZZ? Take a journey with us back to 1930-something as we discuss our thoughts on this restored musical crime drama starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and NICOLAS CAGE! That's right... he's in it too!
Our next Nic Cage review will be Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001).

It's our 50th episode, and we're celebrating with a retrospective of Nicolas Cage's first film (credited as Cage) "Valley Girl"! We watched the 2003 mini-documentary "20 Totally Tubular Years Later," featuring interviews with Cage, his co-stars, and the creators of the 1980s classic. If that's not enough Cage, we also wax poetic on Nic Cage's continued influence on our lives and podcast. If you've been with us for awhile, we invite you to listen to this candid -- and slightly unhinged -- 50TH EPISODE!! Viva El Cage!!

You wouldn't steal a car. You wouldn't steal the Declaration of Independence. You definitely wouldn't illegally download Gone in 60 Seconds from the high seas and review it for science and/or comedy. Yes, you guessed correctly. We the Cagefighters review Nicolas Cage's first film of the 21st century -- his car heist smash hit that feels forever stuck in the 90s. Did we like it? Did we love it? Listen and find out. But make it quick, I can hear the fuzz coming.

Nicolas Cage teams up with Martin Scorsese to create one of the weirdest works of EMT fiction to ever hit the big screen. We're talking about 1999's "Bringing Out the Dead," which stars Cage as a burned-out paramedic in Manhattan who is haunted by the patients he failed to save. On the plus side, he does get to drink and do drugs on the job, so we're really not sure what he's complaining about. If only SOMEONE would FIRE HIM, DAMMIT! Just like our next episode, that apparently must wait until next week.
Next up will be our review of "Gone in 60 Seconds." Find us at niccagefight.com

Have you ever wanted to buy the most deplorable pornography you can imagine from a man beneath the subway? Have you ever wondered how much it would cost to crowdfund a REAL snuff film? (1st world problems, I know.)
If you answered YES to either question, then this may be the review for YOU! So switch your cybertruck to autopilot, crank that Vision Pro volume to EARBLEED, and relax with us while we talk Nicolas Cage's role in the 1999 thriller 8MM.
We Cagefighters were admittedly delighted and disturbed by this tragic tale of porno deep dives, one-percenter torture fantasies, and revenge murder. Hear our thoughts and concerns, and please someone get us in touch with a good therapist for the love of god.

We've finally made it to the millennium! Hear our rambling takes on Nic Cage's "The Family Man" (2000).
Ever wonder what it's like to wake up from your life as a filthy rich Wall Street banker to a life of poverty, shame and... CHILDREN? Nicolas Cage stars in this Christmas-themed episode of "Outer Limits" that's stretched out to two hours and filled with super sappy love scenes and Don Cheadle as some kind of timelord.
We also discuss Nic Cage's recent announcement that he plans to step away from acting to focus on being a REAL family man. And we also drop some hints about our next episode, which is sure to be something special.
Thanks for listening to Late Night Cage Fight!

Happy Cage-Giving, friends. 'Tis the season for a Cage-y trip down the horrid holiday lane. The first movie of our holiday bunch we subjected our sanity to was St. Nic's 1994 "Trapped in Paradise" -- a Christmas movie so hard to watch it's like being trapped with John Travolta in Hell. Hear us riff on the movie that also stars John Lovitz and Dana Carvey and ask questions about the meaning of life. Why, Nic Cage, why? Was this a "Mandy" prequel? Krampus origin story? The world will never know. But it doesn't matter, because Earth is just one small planet in the vast, infinite Cageverse.
