We’re a bitchin’ group of guys from Ohio who love long walks on the beach and Nicolas Cage. With nearly 50 episodes and 5000 downloads, we’ve been your lifeline to the Cinematic Cageverse since 2018. Steve, Shawn and myself (Cagefighter Reece) attempt to review EVERY Nic Cage film in existence and BATTLE over which movies are awarded eternal rest in our Bee Cage of Fame. Our winners so far are Birdy (1984), Vampire’s Kiss (1988), and Con Air (1997). While we poke some fun at Cage’s CRAZIER roles and real-life antics, we also give due credit to our favorite Oscar-winning actor who has now appeared in over 100 films -- plus you’ll hear our own personal stories and misadventures. Find us at NicCageFight.com or email us at latenightcagefight@gmail.com. Suffering from a Cage Overdose? Check out our sub-series within this podcast titled ”CAGELESS” where we discuss our favorite movies not featuring our lord and savior. CAGE OUT!

Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
What do you get when you throw a bunch of action movies in a blender (especially Mortal Kombat), then add Nic Cage and Tony Jaa kicking serious alien ass? Jiu effin' Jitsu.
Find out why the upcoming Jiu Jitsu is your new guilty pleasure martial arts flick -- a movie that can't decide whether it belongs in an honorable dojo, or as eternal reruns on the Syfy Channel. We talk about our first impressions of the movie, Nic Cage's role as Wylie, the comic versus the movie, and we decide just what exactly is... a jiu jitsu. (Spoiler Warning at 33:00.)
Jiu Jitsu will be released on November 20. Visit our web site at NicCageFight.com

We discuss both Wicker Man movies and a whole lot more in this super casual Halloween special. It's also the only place you'll find (un)official Wicker Man ASMR.
Legal disclaimer: we take no responsibility for any curse that may spread to you while listening to this, but please wear a wicker mask. Trust us, we are neo-politicians.

Saturday Oct 03, 2020
Saturday Oct 03, 2020
In our second episode of Cageless, we again wander outside the Cageverse to slip into a mesmerizing folk horror fever dream from 2019 called Midsommar. Continuing the conversation from Ari Aster's previous film, Hereditary, we examine the various elements that make up this twisted Pagan cult movie and why we love it. Yes, we do mention similarities to The Wicker Man. Why the hell wasn't our beloved Nicolas in Midsommar dressed as a bear?

Worst Honeymoon in Vegas VS Amos & Andrew
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
It's the last VERSUS episode before the CAGE FIGHT FINALE!
The Cagefighters give you all your favorite Nic Cage updates, followed by a rundown of two COMEDIES for a change. In Honeymoon in Vegas, Nic Cage puts his almost wife Sarah Jessica Parker up as collateral in an obviously rigged poker game. When he loses, he realizes he won't be getting any sex in this city. In Amos & Andrew, underage girl chaser Nicky Amos Cage is given another chance at freedom when Samuel L'Andrew Jackson is mistaken for an ANTIFA home invader. While holding Jackson at gunpoint, Cage attempts to solve the problems of racism in this knee-slapper of a movie you will just cherish forever.

Saturday Jul 18, 2020
We're officially in the 90s now.
The Cagefighters bring back a problematic and untimely Cage-tastic Italian war movie from the dead: "Time to Kill." Next, we examine David Lynch's attempts to tame Cage's wild heart when his character is on the run from Mama's bloodthirsty bounty hunters...in between long bouts of sex, heavy metal slam dancing, and Nic Cage singing!
We also introduce Cagefighter Matt in this episode -- the man who originally inspired this podcast after creating Nicolas Cage Appreciation Night (NCAN).
Listen to find out which movie will compete in our upcoming Cage Fight season finale!

Moonstrucker vs. Vampire's Kiss
Sunday Jun 21, 2020
Sunday Jun 21, 2020
The Cagefighters pit the next two comedies from the 80's against the other: Moonstruck (1987), an Italian-American romance Cagefighter Steve calls, “The Cher/Nicolas Cage cougar-bait film of the last millennium,” versus Vampire’s Kiss (1989) – one of Cage’s most batty and meme-ified roles. It’s also Nic Cage as a vampire hunter who is hunting himself because… he’s, well, a vampire, duh.
Cagefighter Shawn discusses deleted scenes from The Color Out of Space and Reece delivers a sultry Nic List. Find out which Cage movie wins in the end!
Our next two films will be Time to Kill and Wild at Heart.
As an added bonus for our listeners, each instance of the word Cher in this episode has been auto tuned.

Saturday May 30, 2020
The Cagefighters crawl deep into a well of Lovecraftian horrors to uncover the truth about Nic Cage's most recent movie role in this year's The Color Out of Space. Hear spicy comparisons between the original short story and the film, plus a wonderful recap of this shocking body-horror plot that Cagefighter Steve could only describe as, "The best Superman origin story gone wrong." With another Gonzo-Cage masterpiece in the bag, what does this mean for our beloved wolf-warrior, St. Nicolas? What happened to Cagefighter Kevin? Yes, there are spoilers. Listen if you dare...
